We use 2.5 billion single-use cups each year in the UK, and having a convenient, portable reusable cup is one way to avoid adding more cups to the mountain of waste we are creating. Shole was created by a team of two people who saw Sir David Attenborough's documentaries, and -- like many of us out there -- realised that something had to be done to reduce plastic waste.
This 12oz Shole reusable coffee cup looks gorgeous - and if you want a reusable cup that lasts, this one fits the bill perfectly, with stainless steel construction and a durable, powder coated surface.
To avoid mess, there's a guard on the top that pops off when you want to drink. It can be reattached when you're on the move to avoid any spills. The double wall design will keep your drink hot for up to 6 hours.
Your favourite coffee shop may even give you a discount for bringing your own cup each morning. And with some stores ditching takeaway cups altogether, having an easy-to-carry reusable cup is essential. With a more compact design than normal 16oz cups, this one's ideal to pop into your bag or rucksack so you're never caught short without it.
More information: The Shole 12oz cup is 11cm high, 9cm in diameter, and weighs 290g. Each cup comes in a matching card box. Please note that this cup is straight sided so it might not fit in your car's cup holder, depending on the design. The screw-off lid is steel, so it's best not to overfill the cup as hot liquid will heat up the lid quite quickly if it's touching the top. Never put steel items in a microwave.
Caring for your Shole cup: Please wash your cup before its first use and after each subsequent use. Wash in warm soapy water and air-dry upside down. Don't use abrasive cleaners that might remove the coloured print; a small amount of baking soda is a better alternative if the steel is stained, or try scrubbing gently with a coconut fibre cleaning brush. We would also advise against putting your cup in a dishwasher.
